Board of Directors

As a private, not-for-profit organization, Cattaraugus Community Action, Inc., is locally governed by a 15-member Board of Directors.  In accordance with federal law, the CCA Board is comprised of three sectors: the Community Sector, the Public Sector, and the Private Sector.  One of the original themes of the Community Action movement, dating from the mid-1960’s, is “maximum feasible participation of the poor.”  To that end, representation of low-income persons is critical in policy making decisions on the local level.

All Board Meetings are held in the 2nd Floor Conference Room at 25 Jefferson Street, Salamanca, New York, at 5 pm on the 4th Thursday of the month.  There is no meeting in August, and the November/December meetings are combined and held the 1st Thursday of December.
