| LIGHTHOUSE COMMUNITY KITCHEN: Our soup kitchen, which was started in December of 1994, now serves dinner meals on four evenings per week, Monday to Thursday 3:45 to 4:45PM. Our success is made possible by the help of many volunteers who have donated thousands of hours to feed the hungry in our community. We served 5,818 dinner meals in 2002. Our average daily count is fifty meals. The soup kitchen is located on the second floor of our offices located at 25 Jefferson St. in Salamanca. Funding: Volunteers, Local Donations, Hunger Prevention Nutrition Assistance Program, Parkview Supermarket, and many local donations.  |
