| JEFFERSON HOUSE APARTMENTS, SALAMANCA, NY Located on the third floor of the Jefferson Resource Center, these eight units opened in June 1999 to house homeless individuals and families. This was an interesting renovation as we changed classrooms with thirteen foot ceilings into living spaces, preserving original components such as chalkboards, windows, and the corridor ceiling's beautiful stained glass windows. There are three 3-bedroom units and two 1-bedroom units that are fully furnished. There are also two classrooms for training, meetings and gatherings; a laundry facility, a playroom, and property manager's office. This is home to tenants for up to twenty-four months as they receive intensive supportive services from our Family Development Programs and advance more toward becoming self-reliant.  |
