The Family Development concept
considers the needs and goals of each family member both individually and as a
whole. Through lengthy and intensive case-management, the family is enabled to
make positive progress toward a thriving environment in all areas of life. The
process involves a commitment from both the family and the worker, mutual
respect, and open communication. The program is available to any family in
Cattaraugus County. It is free of charge. Referrals from other agencies are
welcome.
- A Family Assessment which
addresses ten elements of life functions is completed.
- At risk areas are first tackled
and stabilized.
- A plan is developed which
outlines the steps necessary to work toward the family goals.
Individual plans are coordinated
for each family member as needed.
