Senator Clinton announces software grant for Community Action and other agencies in the Appalachian Region.

On August 9, 2005, Community Action, with the help of Senator Hillary Clinton and the Appalachian Regional Commission, was awarded thousands of dollars in free computer software from Microsoft.  This software will enable the agency to increase its capacity to help those in need in our area.

Community Action wins Blue Ribbon at the Fair!

Community Action received a 1st Place Award for the best non-commercial display booth at the 2005 Allegany County Fair in Angelica, NY.  This booth promoted the Victim Services, Energy, and Nutrition Programs that Community Action operates in Allegany County.

Governor Pataki receives CCA Calendar.

While visiting the Allegany County Fair, NY Governor George Pataki was presented with a Senior Food Stamp and Good Nutrition Calendar from CCA Marketing Coordinator Dougal Kear, Jr., pictured at right.  The calendar was created as the result of special project funding from the Nutrition Consortium of NY State to promote the Federal Food Stamp Program and good nutrition with our local seniors.
